Disabling Windows Startup applications have a huge impact on startup times for your computer, especially on older hardware. Disabling some programs you don’t use a can significantly reduce the amount of time you have to wait when you first use your computer. Luckily, Windows 10 has made it super easy to do so.

First you need to open task manager by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or alternatively right clicking the task bar and pressing task manager. If you are not already in “more details” section you will need to press the arrow on the bottom of the window that says “more details”. If the arrow on the bottom says “less details” then you are already in the advanced settings. Click the tab on the top that is labeled “Startup”. Once you are in the startup section click on any program you want to disable on startup. Once highlighted, click the “disable” button on the bottom right of the window. You can also do the same to enable applications.
